At the Schloßcafé Palmenhaus we stand for sustainability and regionality. We attach great importance to ensuring that our products are not only delicious, but also sustainably produced. We are constantly expanding our vegetarian and vegan menu because we are aware of how important this area is for our guests. And with the RECUP system, we offer our customers the opportunity to receive their to-go food and drinks in reusable cups and bowls – a contribution to environmental protection. Visit us and enjoy with a clear conscience!
Our approach to sustainability begins with the selection of our suppliers. We work closely with local farmers and producers to ensure our ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality. By buying locally we also support the local economy. But it goes even further: our kitchen is designed to minimize food waste. Leftover food isn’t just thrown away – instead, we use it to make new dishes or donate it to nonprofit organizations.
And of course we also pay attention to the issue of packaging waste: The Recup system offers our guests a sustainable alternative to conventional disposable tableware. This means you can enjoy your meals without creating unnecessary waste.
We believe that every small step towards sustainability counts – be it through conscious nutritional choices or reducing your own ecological footprint in everyday life. At the Schloßcafé Palmenhaus we would like to help implement this idea!
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September 2015. The SDGs outline a new and ambitious global agenda to reduce poverty and hunger, improve health, enable equality, protect the planet and more. Real progress will be difficult to achieve unless all children and young people worldwide receive a high-quality education. Therefore, education plays a central role in the SDGs. Data, particularly from the UNESCO World Education Report, clearly shows that education is essential for the success of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
